Canoerental and canoetours in Sweden
Our cottage in Sweden is situated in a quiet and sunny location, about 15 km north of Säffle. The rental price includes a motorboat and a Linder canoe.
A fully equipped log cabin style vacation home awaits you on a 3200 sqm meadow and nature plot.
The house is also well suited for winter guests. Comfortable warmth is provided by an open fireplace and electric heating. Winter and summer there are good fishing opportunities.
Welcome to our vacation home. We have been big Sweden fans ourselves for over 30 years. We have spent many unforgettable vacations here in Sweden. Trekking in Lapland, outdoor trails and camping in all climate zones, many canoe tours on rivers and lakes. We have always enjoyed Värmland the most, especially as permanent guests at the most beautiful campsite on the whole of Lake Vänern, Duse Udde in Säffle.
Since October 2014 we have been living in our house near Svanskog, right by the beautiful Lake Eldan. We operate a canoe rental service here. We are about 10 km away from the Kantarella vacation home, so we can always be there quickly if necessary.
The area around northern Lake Vänern is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Sweden. Gentle hills and flat meadow valleys alternate with magnificent lakes and extensive forests. Many animals like crane, elk and deer are at home here as well as fox and badger. Even Wolf and Lux are spotted from time to time.
From the cottage you can go for long walks and hikes. A short path through a beautiful birch grove leads to the boating area, where you will find a Linder canoe and a Linder motorboat for free use. If the weather is nice, nothing stands in the way of a day of swimming and bathing. Among anglers, Lake Summeln is considered an insider tip. As in many other Swedish lakes you can find here capital pike and perch, with patience and right “knew how” you can also be lucky on a zander.
Lake Summeln is flatly embedded in the landscape, its wooded islands and its wide reed belts on the western side appear rather “southern”, whereas on the eastern side it has a typically Nordic character with its rocky peninsular noses. Nature lovers and birdwatchers get their money’s worth: beavers, whooper swans, ospreys, black-throated divers and many other rare animals can be observed here….
