Canoerental and canoetours in Sweden
Peace, relaxation and boundless horizons – kayaking through the remote, wild islands of Lake Vänern. Fishing is permitted without a fish/fishing license. Green, wooded islands, deserted, sparsely vegetated islets and rocky, bare granite formations characterize the archipelago in northern Lake Vänern. There is always a suitable spot for the night camp in the many sheltered nooks and crannies of the islands. The rock formations, which heat up pleasantly in summer, invite you to sunbathe, crystal-clear water, a small beach or bathing rock and a day of swimming is guaranteed… and the very best: there are no mosquitoes, and no “Ballermann” canoeists, the “big organizers” have to stay outside… All you need is provisions and your personal outdoor equipment. There are 3 different island groups to choose from, depending on the weather conditions we will take you to the best possible starting point. You will receive all the necessary information about the island world, the Swedish Everyman’s Right, the nature reserves, the fishing regulations and a comprehensive emergency and safety briefing. Bookings are possible from 6 days! We recommend 6-14 days.
At least one participant must have very good kayak paddling skills. The start and end point can be adjusted depending on the weather and wind conditions. In the event of persistent strong winds or storms, it may be that a tour cannot start until later, or that a break has to be taken during the tour. If the wind force is above 3, another kayak tour (inland) must be chosen.
The route on GoogleMaps is only a suggestion for orientation. The Swedish “Everyman’s Right” must be strictly observed. During the briefing, we inform you about the applicable rules, regulations and provisions in the planned area.
Basic kayak package
You can spend the night in a tent at a public wind shelter (there are few on Lake Vänern) or at a suitable place of your choice (shore area, peninsula or island) in accordance with the Everyman’s Right. The laws in the nature reserves must be observed. Please do not make any “wild” fireplaces.
