4 day kayak tour Arvika

4 T
Recommended: 4 to 6 days kayak tour (KJ01)

… On the trail of the Vikings in a kayak. This waterway between the large Lake Vänern and Arvika was already used by the Vikings, as evidenced by the many archaeological sites and burial mounds. Pilgrims to the grave of St. Olav in Nidaros also traveled this route. In the small village of Nysäter there is a Viking village with a museum, a mini campsite (shower/toilet) and shopping facilities at the jetty. Flexible touring route. A sauna can be rented in a secluded bay on Harefjorden (approx. SEK 50 per person). Pre-booking at the Canoe Center required. There is also a windbreak with a barbecue in the bay. One overnight stay is free of charge. We recommend this kayak tour for 4-6 days. Optionally, the destination of the kayak tour can be moved to the “Duse Udde” campsite, the most beautiful campsite on Lake Vänern, where a few days of relaxation are highly recommended at the end of the tour.
