Kayak tours in Sweden – Suggestions

Basic paddling skills are required for all proposed kayak tours. For a Vänern tour, at least one group participant must have very solid kayaking experience. We only have “single” lake kayaks for hire.

In the ‘Tips and info’ menu you will find a wealth of useful information. Before you decide on a kayak or canoe (Canadian) tour, we recommend that you read these pages carefully.

Every participant must be able to swim at least 200 meters. Personal equipment should be adapted to the requirements of safe handling of sea kayaks. This applies in particular to clothing (good functional clothing from specialist retailers) and the choice of footwear (e.g. neoprene paddle shoes). As a general rule, food and equipment for kayak tours should be planned well in advance and packed as compactly as possible, as there is not as much space in a kayak as in a canoe.
