8 days canoe tour Grums

Kanutour in Schweden Grums 04
Recommended: 7 to 10 days canoe tour (B05)

The Grums canoe tour starts at our local lake Eldan. Via the lakes Lången and Aspen, you enter the adventurous meandering river Lilla Älven, which flows into the river Byälven. You paddle north along the historic Viking Trail through magnificent lake and river landscapes to Glafsfjorden. After a longer portage (very easy, as it is asphalted) you come to the wild lake area of Värmeln. Passing dozens of islands that invite you to stay overnight, the route heads south to the historic village of Borgvik. The tour ends at one of the best-preserved ironworks from early times. The village offers some interesting sights: An industrial museum, stone ruins (great photo opportunities), an old forge and a beautiful church dating back to 1718. Here you can see a lot before paddling the last stretch to Grums, where our shuttle service will pick you up. Very flexible route planning possible, we recommend 6 to 10 days tour duration!
