Canoerental and canoetours in Sweden
Peace, relaxation and boundless horizons – canoeing through the remote, wild islands of Lake Vänern. Fishing is permitted without a fish/fishing license. Green, wooded islands, deserted, sparsely vegetated islets and rocky, bare granite formations characterize the archipelago in northern Lake Vänern. There is always a suitable spot for the night camp in the many sheltered nooks and crannies of the islands. The rock formations, which heat up pleasantly in summer, invite you to sunbathe, crystal-clear water, a small beach or bathing rock and a day of swimming is guaranteed… and the very best: there are no mosquitoes, and no “Ballermann” canoeists, the “big organizers” have to stay outside…
All you need is provisions and your personal outdoor equipment. There are 3 different island groups to choose from, depending on the weather conditions we will take you to the best possible starting point. You will receive all the necessary information about the island world, the Swedish Everyman’s Right, the nature reserves, the fishing regulations and a comprehensive emergency and safety briefing. Bookings are possible from 4 days!
We recommend 4-10 days. This tour is not suitable for beginners and children under the age of 16. At least one participant must have extensive paddling experience. We strongly recommend a group size of at least 4 people with 2 canoes. We also hire out sea kayaks for the Vänern tour – only suitable for experienced kayakers. In the event of persistently bad weather conditions (sustained wind force 3 and higher), an alternative tour (inland) must be selected for safety reasons.
The route on GoogleMaps is only a suggestion for orientation. The Swedish “Everyman’s Right” must be strictly observed. During the briefing, we inform you about the applicable rules, regulations and provisions in the planned area.
Basic canoe package
Overnight stays (wild camping according to the Everyman’s Right) take place on an island, peninsula or a suitable spot on the shore. The regulations in the nature conservation areas must be strictly adhered to. Please do not make any “wild” fireplaces.
