12 days canoe tour Glaskogen
The “royal tour” among the canoe hikes. Free, and on your own, the canoe tour offers a lot of variety around and through the Glaskogen nature reserve. The Glaskogen tickets for 5 days and a Naturvardkort are included in the price. Outside the nature reserve, you can spend the night in the wild in accordance with the Everyman’s Right. Solitary paddling in large and small lakes, beautiful meandering sections in Lilla Älven and endless forests in Glaskogen promise a great adventure. We recommend this tour for 10 – 16 days. At Stora Bör you can optionally book another Dano overnight stay.
At the mouth of the Lilaälven into the Byälven, a short detour to the south is worthwhile: in the small village of Nysäter, there is a Viking village with an open-air museum and a museum at the jetty, and if you want, you can stay overnight at the adjacent “mini” campsite (with shower/toilet) at a very reasonable price. There is a small supermarket in Nysäter.
